Prompting Isn’t Enough; It’s Your Imagination That Creates the Best Stories

Anyone can use AI to create. But to make something that feels alive, you have to start with your vision.
While working on a few projects this weekend, I realised.
You can ask ChatGPT (or any AI) to write a story, generate 5–10 ideas, or brainstorm creative concepts for videos and images, and it will deliver.
You can keep asking, and it will keep generating.
But after experimenting for a few days, I truly believe this:
If you add your imagination, create your character, build your scenes, think of your movie themes, and then bring that idea to ChatGPT to refine it, the results are on another level.
When creating a story or a video, think of it like real moviemaking. Add a few details:
Camera movement (mid-shot, long shot, slow pull-in?)
Mood of the scene (is it a gloomy, cold morning, or a warm evening?)
Atmosphere and timing (timing shifts the mood)
Background actions (what are the side characters doing?)
Sound design (background music, ambient sound effects)
The more details you imagine and include in your prompt, the better the output you’ll get, not just from ChatGPT, but from any AI platform.

In one of my recent video projects, I didn’t just imagine the scene and character; I even recorded a voiceover to bring it to life. The Dracula character growls while the man whispers, "Do it."
Here’s the process I followed:
I recorded my voice.
Imported the voice into Adobe Audition.
Selected the part I wanted to modify and applied effects:
I went into Amplitude and Compression and added Amplify.
Then, I used Time and Pitch to change the tone of my voice.
Finally, did some final touches under Special > Mastering to polish the sound.
After the voice was ready, I added background music and sound effects (sourced from Freepik ).
Then I brought everything together inside After Effects.
And just like that, video ready!
You can prompt all day long, but the real magic starts when you add your own dreams into the process. AI responds to creativity. The more you give it, the more it gives back.
